The 1000 Men Empowerment Group was founded by Bruce Johnson. Bruce received The Black Achievers of Houston 2011 award for his work on stage, on television and on the radio; as well as a recognition award from the city of Houston for "Entertainer of the Year". He started The 1000 Men Group to create a home base for veterans and men in transition. The group also advocates for other community initiatives. Mr. Johnson will also debut his book “Once It’s Over Let It Be Over ” by the end of the year.

The 2015 Entertainment Coupon Book, presented by Bruce Johnson and the 1000 Men Empowerment Group, will be for sale at the Women’s Health & Fitness Expo 2014 this Saturday! A portion of the book sales will benefit local children of incarcerated parents.
